Well the stuff did eat into the paint that's for sure. So from the responses I believe I need to rewash the seal because I only used mild soap to wash it, highly diluted aswell. Never thought of it having mold release on it unless the mold release is the white powder that came on it. That I did get off. I also probably put the glue on to thick. The stuff came pouring out fast so it was hard to prevent. Next time I'll try using a small brush to apply a thin coat. Ill keep ya posted on all the trials and tribulations seeing as I have the entire suburban to seal with new rubber. Sure hope the foamy door seals go better. They should take to the glue better I suppose.
