Thanks for the help. I was told I could not use the generator pulley, but I just went back out to try it (which I should have done in the first place) with a shim and it seems to be OK. Very little shaft left for lock washer and the nut, but I expect I can use Locktite on the nut! I ran it for a little bit in the garage and no probs! Now I will research on how to wire it!
