Greeting from Kentucky!
i am new to stovebolts but not new to restorations.
I have always wanted a 50s chevy truck and picked one up that needs a LOT of TLC recently and look forward to getting him restored.
The truck is a 52 3100. Original engine. (i guess that is a good thing and bad.) a lot of original parts. Most of the rust is slight surface and the cab has the typical cancer spots. Some floor board, cab corners, etc. Has the original seat and seat covering.
the plan is to restore to close to original as i can. i am more of a purist when it comes to classic vehicles. the best part is that truck has a title. LOL
I am the third owner. The person who bought it before me bought it in 1975. Had plans on restoring it. Parked it under a cedar tree and there it sat until i bought i this past xmas eve. LOL i look forward to getting some of the knowledge out of you veterans and experts and hope to have this truck rocking as my daily driver. (i only drive 20 miles a day back and forth to work.)
