Thanks everyone. I only drive my truck about 3,000 miles a year. I would spend the additional $20 if there was any significate value. Based on the comments, if I understand them correctly, there is no major reason to change to syn. Everything is working fine... so why mess with it. I'll just keep my gear oils topped off & clean.
