Thats a cool truck you got there.. did you shorten it or was it that way when you got it?
Yeah, The 2 ton trucks have bolt on dust caps, the 1 1/2 ton have press on caps. Also check your ID plate in the driver door jamb. If it's 16000lb. gvw it's 2 ton, 14000lb. 1 1/2 ton, regardless to what the title says.
does this apply to all years of trucks.. my 36 has bolt on caps.. but was told it was a 1.5 ton as well.. ???
