Sounds like they conveniently packaged the 3 steps for protecting metal...cleaning, rust removal, paint. You could probably get the same results using a good degreaser, a phosphoric-acid based rust neutralizer (Ospho or Kwik-Strip metal etch from Home Despot), and Zero-Rust (see the tech section) or POR 15.
I'm interested to see how it looks in a few days, and how it performs over time.
