I decided to put my truck back together as original. I never got to drive it on the road too much before I tore it down and I would like to experience the truck with all original equipment...it's only got 35,000 miles on it and I thought it deserved to see the road again in original form. I do plan on doing a brake upgrade at some point after driving it for a while and thought it would be neat to go from stock to the kevlar shoes, then maybe go to disc fronts after that and compare the improvements with each upgrade. For the disc upgrade, I may take a Dana 44 8 lug disc 4wd front axle that I have and basically cut the ends off with the disc assemblies and re-weld them to a straight tube axle, then install in my truck.
