I went through this a while back, My existing ranco had the tube cut. I contacted several vendors for rebuild and they would not accept the core for rebuild. I was told it is a gas filled bellows.
As far as that ebay seller, if you look at his items it sure looks like a Jim Carter store.... location and items.
