As a general rule you can look at the position of the weld nuts or cage nuts, depending on the application, to determine what goes where. If the thread on the bolt goes all the way though the nut, that fastener is as strong as it'll ever be. Just put the bolts in positions where there is thread showing on the back side and you should be good to go. I'm not familiar with the inner workings of the AD door so if you can't "see" the back of the nuts you'll most likely have to do it using the braille method.
