The 1938 manual does not seem to show any torque values. The 1941 manual has some in the text. The 1947 Shop Manual has the engine torque values summarized on one page. It seems that that these should be good for a 1938 216 also. Does the 1938 engine use 10-mm spark plugs? Those torque numbers may not be correct.
