Evening, board!
I know these "engine ID" questions can be annoying, but after an hour trying to figure this one out, including the Inliners site, I realized I'm out of my league.
I found these numbers on a friend's engine which needs a new water pump:
CGN3 K254
(or)
CON3 K254
These numbers are on a plate on the passenger side of the motor, just behind the starter.
The plate right behind the distributor, where I was expecting to find a number, seems blank, though I need to clean it off better to be sure.
ANYWAY, I'm TOLD this is a 1968 235 (!). I didn't know they even made 235s into the late 60s, though it does look substantially similar to my '44 & '51 235s.
