The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk '39-'55 front axle swap

I'm working on a '39 3/4 ton. The front axle has "issues." I have located a '55 6 bolt unit. What kind of problems will I encounter putting the '55 onto the '39 frame?

I have done a lot of searching, but came up empty handed. Any info will help.
