Well said, you'll find out a properly machined adapter is much cheaper then tearing up transmissions in the long run.
It may work great for 500 miles , but a homemade adapter isnt going to be close to centreline, and accuracy is everything.
You will wipe out trans bearings, not if, just a matter of when.
