I believe the "torque twist" of the engine could cause some premature breakage of mounts (engine and transmission mounts). I think if I were to fabricate anything would try to use both of the LT1 mounts or the traditional mounts. If you can find a picture of it, look at how the Trans Adapt engine mount for a 55-59 truck is set up. Check at Summit or the PAW websites. If you can't find it I can email a picture of how I have mine mounted. If you change the plate that mounts to the engine from traditional to LT1 on both sides it would give you the room you need for the A/C. Exhaust may be an issue though. thanks for the information, I will look, at the sites you mentioned.
