| | | | Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 962 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 962 | Same bellhousing can be used, but the 12 volt starters were used with a 168 tooth ring gear, available from NAPA. 6v and 12v starter internals cannot be interchanged. The armature shaft diameters are different.
