For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 33 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 33 | I recently purchased a '65 C10 and I have been going through and repairing the few minor things that are wrong with the truck. The rear end is leaking where the drive shaft is attached and I know that there is a seal that goes in the housing at this point. My problem is that the rearend in the truck is a 3.07 posi-traction and not the orginal rearend in the truck. Any ideas on how to tell the model number and get the correct part before I tear it down and replace the seal? It is a 6 lug rear end.
