I have a '41 pickup with 216 engine. I see a lot of pictures where people have added an inline fuel filter just ahead of the carburetor. That seems like a good idea, but I was thinking of adding one ahead of the fuel pump and glass bowl filter instead. I would think filtering the fuel before it goes through the fuel pump would be good. Can anyone see why this would NOT be a good location? Thanks.
