Depends ultimately what condition the body is in and if either engine is worth anything. IF you do go and look I would bring something along to try and turn the engines with....if they are free chances are they can be used with little or even perhaps no work.
I'm not sure that the transmission would be the same as what is on a pickup though. Perhaps it changed but my '46 1.5ton transmission is grossly larger than a pickup from the same year. Granted the listing says it has the transmission anyway.
