Ddo you know the thickness of the plate on new arm that you have?
The CPP steering arm on my truck is 1/2" thick plate. Looks like it was plasma cut. If you're making a new arm, it may be worth checking whether it would work better for you if it were shorter than the CPP arm.
I remade my steering arm 1 1/16" shorter than the CPP one, the turning circle was too big with the CPP Pitman arm and steering arm combination.
Shortening the steering arm increased the steering lock without any problems with the wheels fouling any chassis or body parts. Otherwise this was the usual conversion with the 3.5 turn Saginaw steering box.
