I have a YF Carter on a 42 army truck that gets intermittent use plowing the drive and moving heavy stuff around with the winch. Before I bought the army truck the engine and carb were in a 41 1 1/2 ton that was ran even less often. In the 10 plus years I've had it I've probably bought 5 carb kits for it. It's always the same thing. The accelerator pump diaphragm starts leaking into the vacuum port making it run way rich. Stabil hasn't helped. Are all the kits out there old inventory back from when they made good gasoline? Is there a company out there that makes kits for the older carburetors with modern materials designed to tolerate the crap for gas sold now a days?
