Hey guys,
I'm working through a frame off restoration on a '49 Chevy 3/4ton pickup.
When I took off the driver's side cowl vent, I just had to unbolt the plate on the interior that has the notch to lock the vent open or closed. The vent itself wasn't bolted to anything. However, the cab had a perfect rectangle missing (broken off?) from the right side of the vent opening (facing outside of cab) where I would imagine the vent would have bolted to. Now, I searched as best I couldn't and found nothing but several unanswered questions as to how this side vent attaches.
So, does anyone have any pictures, or a description of how this vent is supposed to attach? I'm sorry I can't upload any pictures of what I'm seeing; the truck is in Tampa, Fl, and I'm going to college at Mercer, in Macon, Ga. I really, really appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance guys!
-Alan
