I recently acquired a one-owner, 1963 Chevy C20, that had the one-ton conversion, done on it, shortly after being purchased in 1963.
Driver side We purchased the truck from the original owner and he signed over the original State of California - Certificate of Ownership.
Certificate of Ownership It still has the original California black tag from 1963.
'63 California Black Tag It has 25,000 original miles with a 283 V8 and a 2-speed automatic Powerglide.
Engine Bay It was originally converted/extended to accept a cabover camper, which was damaged many years ago and the flatbed was put on it. The interior had many accessories, specific to camping and long distance traveling, like an altimeter, clock, underdash A/C, leveling eye, tach, dual saddle tanks, compass, fire extinguisher & emergency flares.
Dash Accessories This thing is a dream to drive and it stops nicely with the factory power brakes. I plan to fabricate a dovetail with a winch & ramps, to retrieve '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks locally and to take to local shows with a '60-'66 Chevy truck on back.
