tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	Acording to the 1954 Shop Manual, setting timing to the ball on the flywheel produces an ignition timing of 2 degrees ATDC (After Top Dead Center) on a 235 engine and 5 degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center) on a 261 engine. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
