I want to upgrade my 1949 suburban to bigger 6cyl(292) and a 700r4 trans but i also want to use the stock original steering column and 3 spd shifter has anyone done this? If so how do you go about doing it? i know im going to need some or maybe even use the existing bar i am not really worried about being able to put the trans all the way down into low as long as i can get park r n od and d ill be ok with that
