As I mentioned over in the serial number thread, swapping a 216 valve cover onto a newer 235 is relatively easy. Most of the vendors sell a kit that includes two threaded studs, two acorn nuts, and a couple of rubber gaskets. You simply replace two of the rocker arm hold down bolts with the threaded studs and put the 216 valve cover on to the 235 engine.
The only reason for doing this is to make the newer 235 look like the original 216.
