| | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 56 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 56 | It would depend on what is classified as surface rust and how new the linings are but I would normally just drive slowly and ride the brake a bit ( helps break in new linings anyways) and they will look brand new after about half a mile or more. turning them just to remove rust will reduce your drums expected life because they will turn a thou or two out just to clean them and is normally cost prohibative. | | |
