The manifold was suppose to be a 250. There are some differences in exhaust manifold, but none of differences should keep the manifold from bolting to either a 250 or 292.
The second link refers to internal engine parts and yes there are a lot of differences. Freds has limited the parts to external.
Fres, did forget to mention motor mount towers. The mounts are the same, but were they bolt on is different. You will need to give us some more details before we know if that is a problem.
