I recently stumbled across a good running 302 core in this truck and want to do a precision rebuild over the winter and swap engines with this truck
My hope is to build a good strong 302 with enough power to drive comfortably on public streets with a loaded truck.
Ive played with 248 and 270 engines a little and know about the different wedge and flat pistons with respected heads but have never had any dealings with the 302.
Does anyone have any suggestions or first hand knowledge on building 302s or where to purchase replacement parts?
What camshaft, intake manifold and vacuum advance would you personally use in such an application?
