Hello. Over the weekend I noticed that my 63 c10 is starting to make a clanking noise under acceleration. drive train is sbc305 and th350. on several drives I have noticed this noise at different rpms and gears. only happens while in gear not while reving in park. noise will stop if i take my foot off the pedal and coast. is there something wrong with my transmission? fluid level is good. it is shifting fine. im lost here but would like to correct this problem before it causes any damage.
so:
1. clanking/slapping sound while accelerating in gear.
2. the rmp range and gear where noise present will vary.
3. problem not present in park revving motor.
4. problem stops while driving as soon as take foot off gas.
