For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2010 Posts: 303 | I was wondering if anyone could help me concerning the wiring going to the starter on a 55 2nd series with the original 235 motor and 3 speed tranny. The starter is the original starter set up with the foot stomp button. I have been using the factory assembly manual to do most of the wiring but it is not to clear when it comes to wiring the starter. I have the battery and amp guage wire attached to the top of the starter switch. But I can not figure out where the wire goes that comes off the side of the starter switch. From what I can figure this wire goes to the resistor and drops the voltage when the engine is running. Does anyone happen to know how the starter is wired up ? A picture would really help, thanks | | |
