The Chevy one will work, the BOP (Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac) can be made to work. They do use a more than twice the power a Turbo 350 uses.

The trick setup on a torque monster like a 292 might be a Powerglide. Very low power requirement and the motor would easily make it accelerate hard.
