Hey bud i first want to thank you for your service to our country, its an honor to talk to you. I have a 1966 k20 i picked up for a good price and started working on it right away. I would suggest finding a 4x4 truck but a 4x4 conversion is not impossible. Mind you it would take a lot of work but that what a project is all about. My truck has a 4 inch lift and is a fleetside longbed. I would be glad to send you pics of any part of the truck like the suspension and anything else so you have an idea what to work with.
