| | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 587 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 587 | I just noticed after looking again that the bearing retainer (part for t-out bearing to slide on) looks much bigger on sag than 4spd and it won't go into your orig b/house by anout the 3/8" of it's thickness. Did you find that a problem? Chevy went to bigger hole in bellhouse after 68 and these trans' won't fit earlier b/house. I was thinking the cars carried on the smaller one and if used from car will still work in old truck b/house. Is this trans from a truck? Didn't think they had small 4spd in trucks, how to shift? Think you need older trans to work for you. Lots of the cheap basic cars of 70's and 80's have these in them.
