There were no 3200 factory 4x4s, and V8s were not available in the factory 4x4 until 1960. While there were 283s used in '57 Chevrolet trucks, they were not used in trucks under 2 ton., which is the Taskmaster engine you give the specs for. The 1/2 through 1 1/2 ton truck used the Trademaster 265.
Now, to answer your question, if it isn't locked up, $150 for a 1957 date coded 283 doesn't sound bad to me. Grab it before some Ble Air guy gets wind of it! While it may not be the correct engine for a light duty '57 truck, it would still make a period correct V8 as far as appearance goes.
