I have a 1961 1/2 ton shortbed and the steering on it is so light and responsive, that it really doesn't need power steering. With properly inflated tires, and a properly serviced front end, again, maybe you just don't need to spend the dough right now. Real men don't need power steering. C'mon, give it a shot. you might actually enjoy the experience of driving an old truck the way it was meant to be. In this economy, doesn't it make sense to make do with what you have, and if it's not satisfactory, THEN you can blow all kinds of dough on the PS,PB,AC,BS.
