I'm used to working on Chevy trucks from the '40s and '50s. This is the first "late model" I have worked on. It is my sister's '63 C-10.

It has been sitting for several years. I am getting it back to driving condition for her. I replaced the gas tank. Now I am trying to get the gas gauge to work.

I thought the easiest way to get to the wiring on the back of the gas gauge was to pull the cluster. I have not been able to figure how to remove the cluster. Does it go toward the firewall or toward the steering wheel. Is there some hidden fasteners holding it in?

I am usually good at solving puzzles, but this one has me stumped. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
