If it was the input shaft brg. you will hear it in neutral & it would go away when you put the clutch in. If it is any trans. brg. it will be much louder in all gears except 4th. I wouldn,t suspect a u-joint either. What about wheel brgs. How about diff. brgs. Did you change the rear end at the same time. The t.O. brg adjustment is easy to check & if it not contacting the clutch fingers it wouldn,t make any noise.
