That is probably a larger bellhousing and adapter for it so you can use a larger flywheel and clutch. Unless you'll be putting it in another big truck you may want to downsize.
I'm certainly not a gas engine or V8 expert, but I've seen the larger setups in the bigger trucks, that may be what you have?
