Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 5 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 5 | I have a 41 Suburban, that I am restoring. Currently the body is off of the frame and I am getting ready to set up the drive train. I picked up a 261 which I plan on having completely rebuilt with the following upgrades: Fenton headers, a Clifford intake/4 barrell, with a ported head. I want to do the T-5 swap while everything is apart and access is easy. My questions are these: Which T-5's specifically have you guys had the best luck with. Borg Warner made a bunch of different ratio's in T-5's and I'd be interested in hearing what specific combos you guys have used, and liked. I plan on running a 55-62 rearend (I need to check on the widths to see if that will work in the 41 Burb)with either a 3.55:1 or 3.38:1 gearing ratio. My past experience with transmission/rear swaps is that what looks good on paper can be sometimes be another story when applied to practical use. Any feedback and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Johnny
