That Factory Assembly Manual is of a 1954/55 3-speed linkage. The linkage rods are different than on the earlier 3-speed trucks (I think).
I think there are 3 rods in earlier years; and there are four rods in 54/55?
Someone with a pre-54 linkage, please confirm or correct.
