The 88 up to about 92 700R4 is a 4 speed o-drive trans. that works great in these trucks. It is fairly easy. You need to get the correct cable hook up & have the drive shaft shortened. You can get one from a salvage or specialty trans. co. If you are near K.C. there is a rebuilder here in town that sells them over the counter at a reasonable price. If you are interested e-mail me.
