| | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,904 | I did some measurements with flat boards spanning my aftermarket 16 in. one-piece rim. I come up with an inside bead width of 6 in. The inside mounting surface is setback 3 3/4 in. from the outside of the bead. These rims work with 235-85R16 tires (Michelin highway treads). One of the tire shops in town said they could order them so they should be available everywhere.
Also, if you search the forum way back on this topic, I gave the markings on these rims which might help.
1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
