I tried to email a guy named Bruce (aka Phat) but he hasn't replied in about two weeks. I was wondering if a 1/2 ton Chev rearend from a 81-87 might work in my 50 1/2 ton. Are these worth the trouble? Do they even fit somewhat? I measured one from flange to flange, I think it was about 57 inches. On the 50, its rear was about the same. I just need confirmation, and advice from someone who has done this swap.
