My name is Mike and I'm from the Austin Texas area. Just bought a 1958 Chevy Apache shortbed fleetside big window, and loving it. It needs a little body work and the normal cab corners and inside step plates replaced. The truck has a small block 350 with a 350 turbo auto transmission installed and runs strong! Drove her from Wichita Kansas to Austin Texas with no problems, aside from temporary hearing loss. I look forward to perusing this site for valuable info, and hopefully adding some of my own. I'll try and post some pics.
