For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 122 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 122 | My brother just had his 54 4100 Chevy delivered yesterday. He hasn't joined the site yet but will be shortly. He's going to be needing alot of help. The truck turns over but wont' start. After only about ten seconds the coil is red hot. My 59's are both 12volt systems so I'm not sure how to tell if his is 6 or 12. The battery is smaller and has 3 caps. The coil does say 6 volt. Could this be a bad ground? Thanks for your help.
