Hy vintage_car, the port for the gauge is near the back of the block on the left side, a couple of inches above the oil pan mounting surface. Depending on the year you may not get a lot of pressure on the gauge, the older engines with babbitted rod bearings, only put out around 15 p.s.i., hope that helps.
