Got a donor 3 speed trans. for my 51 1/2 ton,but am not sure how it would perform mechanically. I took the side plate off and it looks good visually.
My question is , how difficult is it to overhaul this unit. New bearings, inspect the gears etc...
I have have the shop manual and access to shop tools (arbor press etc...). I am doing a full restoration, so now would be the time to get this taken care of.
