Hy lowbow, are you saying that your ammeter would only have a wire on one terminal then? If that is the case then yes you would need a "jumper wire" to duplicate the diagram as it appears in the online manual. If my memory is correct doesn't the other terminal of the ammeter connect to the starter battery cable terminal, which completes the circuit back to the battery?
