I was talking with a body guy today. He said he would use fiberglass to fill the gap, then body filler to level everything out. I believe the back may be warped a bit. The panel was put on as close as it would go to the rest of the lines. If I lined it up to the door seam, then it would be off in another area.

So I sanded the filler off today. First I tested it with a 5 lb hammer and it actually tested pretty good if you don't count the dent in the filler. When I was at a car show I looked at a lot of door seams and there were some pretty bad ones, but I didn't really notice them unless I was looking right at it. So I may just go with the way it is. It might be way less noticeable after everything is the same color and the door sealer in there.
