well, don't know if you'll find a 'consensus' here, but I think most folks like originality - I'd rather have a truck that can work and is as designed, if I wanted a cushy ride I'd buy a car - some might say power steering and disc brakes would be a benefit, but again, they'd be more benefit on the car
